The bank has been present on the Czech banking market since 1991, and over the years it has established a firm position as a modern and universal commercial bank, providing top-class services and reacting promptly to all the needs of its customers.
In the past, the bank has changed both its shareholder and its name. Under the name of LBBW Bank CZ a.s. is known as of 17. 9. 2008. Until this date, the bank was active on the Czech market under the name of BAWAG Bank CZ a.s., which was created on March 31, 2005 by the merger of BAWAG Bank CZ a.s. (formerly Interbanka, akciová společnost) and BAWAG International Bank CZ a.s. (formerly Dresdner Bank CZ a.s.). BAWAG Bank CZ a.s. was part of BAWAG PSK, an Austrian financial group.
