Insurance providing insurance coverage for the card holder, or, as the case may be, for the account owner, in the event of payment card loss or theft and its subsequent misuse constitutes an integral part of the embossed cards (MasterCard Standard, MasterCard Business - Programme Standard, MasterCard Gold, and MasterCard Business - Programme Executive), and of the Maestro electronic payment cards.
Who is insured
This insurance covers the account owner to whom the payment card has been issued, or, as the case may be, the payment card holder.
What is insured
The subject of the card misuse insurance in the event of loss or theft shall be the following:
- direct damage arisen as a consequence of unauthorized use of a lost or stolen card; in the event of unauthorized use of the payment card, insurance applies to the period commencing three calendar days (72 hours) before the end of the day (12.00 a.m.) on which the bank was reported the loss or theft of the payment card;
- theft of cash withdrawn from the ATM or at a bank counter using or threatening with physical violence; this insurance applies for the period of two hours following the withdrawal of funds in cash;
- reimbursement of costs expended for lost or stolen personal/identity documents in the event they were lost or stolen together with the payment card;
- reimbursement of costs expended for lost or stolen keys in the event they were lost or stolen together with the payment card.

When the insurance is in force
The insurance is always attached to a specific payment card. It always commenced upon the acceptance of the payment
card by the authorized person and lasts during the current year of the card validity term, and is automatically renewed
in the yearly validity or at the time of renewal of the payment card.
Should a payment card be lost or stolen, then the insurance shall terminate at 12.00 a.m. of the date on which the loss
or theft of a payment card is reported (please see the
Insurance Terms and Conditions for more details).
Obligations of the card holder / account owner in the event of loss or theft
- It is required that you forthwith notify the loss or theft of the card pursuant to the provisions of the bank's terms and conditions and request stop-listing of the card.
- Please notify the municipal authority charged with the management of the birth record register or the birth record register of such loss of personal documents and apply for issuance of confirmation of such fact.
- Please submit or send to the insurer's address a duly filed in document "Report of Insured Event"
with the following appendices:
- a copy of the police document on the reporting of the theft of the card or a copy of a criminal complaint received by the authorities acting in criminal proceedings in the event of an unauthorized card transaction resulting as a consequence of the loss or theft of the card, or in the event of physical violence used in stealing funds in cash; if the event occurred abroad, then the card holder shall be obliged to report the same at the nearest official place determined for such purpose and request a document confirming such event occurred;
- in the event of an unauthorized card operation, a duplicate of the transactions confirmed by the bank;
- in the event of an unauthorized card operation, a copy of the reclaim protocol;
- in the event of an unauthorized card operation, a copy of the account statements or statements confirming all card operations for the preceding three months;
- an invoice or bill for expenses expended in connection with the replacement for the lost or stolen keys together with a document proving the professional replacement of the plug;
- in the event of loss or theft of documents, a confirmation of issuance of new documents together with the receipt and a copy of new documents;
- employer's confirmation of issuance of a new card permitting to enter the workplace.
