Gala charity concert, part of the 6th year of Ave Maria - Christmas 2009 project, was held in the cathedral of Holy Spirit, with LBBW Bank as the main partner. During the evening a donation was made in favour of Novorozenec (Newborn Baby) endowment fund of the Hradec Králové hospital.
The advent concert was held under the auspices of bishop Mons Dominik Duka, president of the Královehradecký region Lubomír Franc and mayor of the city of Hradec Králové Otakar Divíšek. Opera singer Ema Hubáčková, piano virtuoso Vladimír Župan, a prominent representative of Czech organ school Martin Strejc and choir Carmina Alta gave their performances during the evening.
„This gala evening has always been for me an important turning point in pre-Christmas hectic time and time to relax and reflect the year which is about to end. Also it is the best time for the support of those who need our help,” says Vladimír Šanc, director of LBBW Bank branch in Hradec Králové.
