LBBW Bank CZ invited its clients to the unique hockey event which took place on Saturday March 6th in the hockey arena Horacky Zimni Stadion in Jihlava. Gala exhibition saw the ice hockey match between hockey club HC Dukla Jihlava and the team of former Czechoslovakia players.
The match was held to commemorate the 25 years from the championship in Prague 1985 where the Czechoslovakia team won the gold medals. Former hockey players of the national team competed with players of HC Dukla, who formed the national team between 1980-1990. The hockey match enjoyed the auspices of the president of the Vysocina region, mayor of the city of Jihlava and the ice hockey association.
The match ended in a draw 5-5. The team of former Czechoslovakia players was finally better in penalty shootouts and won 8-7.
“I am glad that we could invite our clients to such an extraordinary event. It is great to see that the team and sport spirits still prevail in the hearth of players even after 25 years,” says Martin Votoupal, Branch Manager of the LBBW Bank CZ branch in Jihlava.
